Boxing Legends Pay Tribute to the Late Trainer Tommy Smalls

The boxing world is mourning the loss of Tommy Summers, better known as Tommy Smalls, whose impact on the sport still resonates.

Smalls collaborated with boxing legends such as Floyd Mayweather Jr., Zab Judah, and Devin Haney.

Floyd Mayweather paid tribute to Tommy Smalls with a heartfelt message, sharing a portrait of him and saying, "Rest in Peace, my brother. I will always love you!" Smalls had been a part of Mayweather's training camp until 2012, and their enduring partnership highlighted Mayweather's excellence in the ring.



Tommy Smalls was also renowned for nurturing the development of a 16-year-old boxing prodigy, Devin "The Dream" Haney, within the Roy Jones Jr. Fight Academy in Las Vegas, NV. Haney has since gone on to achieve undisputed lightweight championship status. Additionally, former two-weight world champion Zab Judah mourned the loss of his friend, Tommy Smalls, and several other former champions like Andre Dirrell and Andre Berto shared their condolences.



"Damn RIP. Had some good times with T Smalls. Funny dude too! Rest up," expressed Dirrell.

"Wow, damn, my man Tommy, had some good times. Rest easy, champ," added Berto.

Tommy Smalls' enduring legacy in the world of boxing is evident, as he served as an inspiration to numerous veterans and emerging talents in the sport.
