Boxing sensation Devin Haney, known for his undefeated record of 30 wins, was arrested on Thursday morning after a night spent in Hollywood.
The arrest occurred when the police discovered a semi-automatic handgun in his car during a routine traffic stop.
On Wednesday, Haney had been enjoying his time at Catch L.A., a popular venue. However, shortly after leaving the hotspot around midnight, law enforcement officials informed TMZ Sports that the police pulled over his vehicle for making an unsafe lane change and failing to use a turn signal.
According to authorities, Haney was not the one driving the vehicle at the time of the incident. However, the individual who was driving informed the officers during the traffic stop that there was a firearm inside the car.
The police then instructed Haney and his security to exit the vehicle. During their search, law enforcement officers discovered a semi-automatic handgun concealed under the driver's seat.
It is reported that no one claimed ownership of the firearm. Since the car was registered under Haney's name, he was subsequently arrested and charged with felony possession of a concealed weapon.
Jail records indicate that Haney was released on $35,000 bail at 8:12 AM on Thursday. He is scheduled to appear in court next month for a hearing on the matter.
Haney has become one of the biggest stars in boxing ... after recording impressive wins in the last couple years over Loma, George Kambosos Jr., Joseph Diaz Jr. and Yuriorkis Gamboa.
Prior to his arrest, Haney got into a Twitter spat with Teofimo Lopez ... and appeared to challenge him to be his next opponent.
