Devin Haney's weight has become a hot topic among boxing fans after his victory over Regis Prograis.
'The Dream' dominated Prograis to become the WBC junior welterweight champion in his first fight at that weight class, making him a two-weight world champion. However, the focus shifted to Haney's weight after the bout. On the fight night, he rehydrated to 165 pounds, which is 25 pounds over the weight limit, almost reaching the super middleweight range.
Gervonta Davis raised concerns about Haney's connection to Victor Conte's SNAC training program. Conte had been previously jailed for 'conspiracy to distribute steroids and money laundering.'
Devin Haney is a weight bully every person he’s faced has been significantly smaller than him I’ve never seen in fighting anyone his own size , look at his resume he fights all small fighters and before his last 5 opponents the others were unknown opponents in Mexico #boxing

On the other side of the story, it's pointed out that Haney had been consistently making 135, and it was getting challenging for him. His weigh-ins for the George Kambosos Jr. fights indicated the difficulty, possibly explaining his lack of knockout power at lightweight. Moving up to 140, he managed to knock down Prograis, the division's biggest puncher. However, the argument arises that Haney's tendency to be larger than his opponents has led to suggestions that he might be a weight bully.
