Georges St-Pierre addressed the rumors surrounding the UFC 300 super fight but delivered disheartening news for those eager for his comeback.
After providing commentary for the UFC Fight Pass Invitational Submission Grappling event on Sunday, the three-time former UFC welterweight champion and former middleweight titleholder, Georges "Rush" St-Pierre, responded to inquiries about his involvement in the speculated UFC 300 super fight mentioned by Dana White.
While some may not find this revelation surprising, others who had built up excitement about the possibility will be disappointed, as St-Pierre unequivocally ruled out any potential return to competitive MMA.

“Absolutely not, I promise you. I always told myself I would not fight in a cage past the age of 40” -GSP on competitive return rumors. “I promise you, I always told myself that I will not fight in the cage after the age of 40. I don’t say I will never compete in any combat sport event, but a fight in a cage professionally in a serious thing for my legacy, I will not do it.”
Back in October, St-Pierre was slated to participate in the UFC Fight Pass Invitational at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, rumored to face former opponent Nick Diaz in a grappling match. However, an injury prevented his participation, leading him to take on the role of commentator for the event.
Despite ruling out a return to fighting, St-Pierre expressed continued interest in grappling, provided his shoulder fully recovers.

Unfortunately, both suffered injuries recently and it has been postponed.
“I’m extremely competitive, and sometimes I forget that I’m 42, and I don’t give myself enough rest, and that’s why I think I partially tore my labrum, my subscap, and my rotator cuff,” St-Pierre said. “But my shoulder is getting better, and we’ll see how it goes.”
St-Pierre, the former longstanding UFC welterweight champion, has been absent from combat sports since making a comeback after a four-year hiatus to seize the middleweight title from Michael Bisping in November 2017 at UFC 217.
