The Priest doesn't do streaming. He does scripture.
Killah Priest's Swift as Light 2 lands this Friday, October 16 — and if you're looking for it on Spotify, stop. It's a Bandcamp exclusive. No streaming platforms, no digital anywhere else. Fourteen tracks, entirely produced by Unknown Source, executive produced by the Priest himself, mixed and mastered by A.D. Ross and C Sik, out on Proverbs Records with distribution through Black Stone of Mecca.
The theme, straight from Priest: a journey through celestial visions, ancient knowledge, and the mysteries beyond the physical world — moving between prophecy, memory, and cosmic reflection. This is the lane Killah Priest carved and never left. While the rest of rap chases algorithms, he's still writing like the scrolls are due.
The tracklist reads like a Priest sermon set to atmosphere: "4 Living Creatures," "DNA (Demons N' Angels)," "Exercising My Will," "Simeon Toko," "The VHS Tape," and a bonus closer, "In Living Flesh." Three tracks are already live for anyone who pre-orders the digital ($9+): "4 Living Creatures," "Celestial Michael," and "The Program Basset and Ascension of Winged People."
And the physicals? This is where Priest rewards the real ones. Four strictly limited editions, Bandcamp only, no wide retail:
- Standard CD — $25+, edition of 30
- Complete Double-CD — $55+, edition of 10
- Limited Double Vinyl — edition of only 5 copies (4 remaining), both discs with instrumentals
- Triplex Collector's Edition — $200+, 3 CDs including an instrumentals-only disc, limited to 10 copies — already sold out
The DAOS take: Killah Priest is the definition of independent longevity — no label machine, no playlist begging, just a direct line to the believers who've been riding since Heavy Mental. Dropping a Bandcamp-exclusive, vinyl-in-handfuls project in 2026 is a statement: the culture comes to him. And if "Exercising My Will" and the rest hit like the Priest's pen usually does, Friday is a holy day for the underground.
Worth noting for the DAOS family: this is the same Killah Priest who just laced a verse on Jake Northfa$e's "The Apartheid - Remix" — out now on Spotify.
Think about what that means. The pen behind Wu-Tang's most cosmic wing — the MC who made biblical apocrypha sound like street sermons — linking with a new-generation artist building his own independent lane. No label set that up. No A&R played matchmaker. That's torch-passing the way it's supposed to happen: the elder statesman recognizing the hunger, the young lion earning the cosign.
"The Apartheid - Remix" is gritty boom-bap in the tradition Priest helped define — golden-era lyricism over hard drums, the kind of record that doesn't need a playlist to find its people. Having Killah Priest on it isn't a feature, it's a statement: the underground protects its own, and the lineage stays unbroken. When Swift as Light 2 drops Friday, listen to both back to back. Past and future, same cloth.
