The press conference for the KSI vs Joe Fournier fight was a prime example of the typical chaos that seems to follow the influencer boxing genre.
Even before the fighters had a chance to speak, the event was marred by physical altercations both on stage and in the crowd. To add to the mayhem, someone even threw a fish into the mix.
The event boasted an eclectic mix of attendees, ranging from OnlyFans stars and TikTokers to a rapper, an MMA fighter, and even former heavyweight world champion David Haye.
As the main event approached, KSI appeared to be fired up, threatening to dance on Fournier's lifeless body after knocking him out. He later clarified that he hoped Fournier would wake up.
In response to Fournier's previous offer to buy KSI's promotional company, Misfits Boxing, for $10 million [£8m] if he wins, KSI made a counter-offer. He pulled out $1000 [£800] in one-dollar bills and threw them in Fournier's face, offering to buy his club. However, the money was quickly scooped up by undercard fighter Anthony Taylor.
KSI also claimed that Fournier had sparred with professional boxers Chris Eubank Jr and James DeGale and had told them that if they punched him in the face, they couldn't come to his club. However, Fournier denied these allegations.
There was utter chaos throughout the press conference, including a fight in the crowd that involved OnlyFans star Astrid Wett.
The face-off between KSI and Fournier was predictably intense, with the two fighters literally bumping heads. Just when it seemed to be over and they were posing for pictures, KSI gave Fournier a forceful shove in retaliation for their first press conference scuffle.
Despite KSI's star power, he was somewhat overshadowed by the dramatic events unfolding around him, notably the brawl involving OnlyFans personality turned boxer Astrid Wett. Wett got into a physical altercation with social media influencer Alexia Grace, who threw water at her. The situation quickly escalated into a full-blown fight, but security was able to separate the two women.
