MCU EXCLUSIVE: Captain Marvel 2 Teases First Trailer Release with New Teaser Video

Excitement surrounding The Marvels continues to grow as Marvel Studios released a tantalizing teaser for the upcoming sequel's trailer, along with the announcement of its online release date.

While the plot of Captain Marvel 2 remains a closely guarded secret, the post-credits scene of Ms. Marvel offered a sneak peek into what fans can expect, including a classic switcheroo between Brie Larson's Avenger and Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan. Despite a delayed release from its original date of July 28, marketing for the film has yet to kick into high gear. However, rumors suggest that a trailer may arrive soon, potentially providing insights into how The Marvels will play a pivotal role in the ongoing Multiverse Saga.

Marvel Studios has officially unveiled a new teaser announcing the upcoming release of The Marvels' first trailer. The 17-second teaser features audio snippets from the trailer, with Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau saying "Hello?" and "What the?", and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury asking about Captain Rambeau's whereabouts.

The teaser confirms that the trailer will debut during tomorrow's episode of Good Morning America on ABC and will likely be available online between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. ET. Fans are eagerly awaiting the trailer to get a better idea of what to expect from the highly anticipated sequel.

What Will Captain Marvel 2's Trailer Show?

At last year's D23 Fan Expo, attendees were given a sneak peek of The Marvels, which highlighted the film's light-hearted tone and showcased the dynamic between Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Ms. Marvel.

It is possible that some or even most of this footage will be included in the teaser trailer for Captain Marvel 2, which could also provide a glimpse of how "anime-inspired" the sequel will be. Furthermore, the trailer may also feature the first official looks at South Korean actor Park Soo-Jeon's character and Zawe Ashton's mysterious hammer-wielding villain.

With the teaser set to debut tomorrow, it will arrive 213 days before the film's theatrical release, which is slightly above average for MCU films in terms of trailer release timing, only surpassed by Iron Man, The Avengers, and Black Panther.

Other films with similar gaps between their first trailer and theatrical release are Doctor StrangeSpider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok.

That said, it appears that Marvel Studios' marketing for Captain Marvel 2 will be in it for the long haul. This could mean the studio is confident in the sequel since a longer-than-average marketing campaign means a higher marketing budget.

The Marvels is set to premiere in theaters on November 10.
