The Beekeeper 2 official poster - Jason Statham

THE BEEKEEPER 2 TRAILER JUST DROPPED — STATHAM'S BACK AND THE HIVE HAS GONE ROGUE

Jason Statham is back, and the hive has turned on itself. The first official trailer for The Beekeeper 2 dropped today, October 15, 2026 — and it wastes zero time reminding you why the original became one of Statham's most beloved action vehicles.

This time, the mission flips. Adam Clay's own organization — the clandestine network of assassins known as the Beekeepers — has gone rogue and kidnapped the President of the United States. The man they built is now the only one who can take them down. Clay vs. the hive. That's the whole pitch, and it's perfect.

Behind the camera, Timo Tjahjanto takes over directing duties. If that name rings a bell, it should — he's the mind behind The Night Comes for Us and The Shadow Strays, two of the most brutally choreographed action films of the last decade, plus Nobody 2. Putting one of the most violent, most precise action directors alive on a Statham vehicle is a cheat code.

The trailer itself is pure Statham: a flamethrower jammed in a henchman's mouth before the ice-cold line, "Next time, don't be so hotheaded." A 1969 Dodge Super Bee packing a passenger-side minigun. All of it set to Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls."

The cast stacks up too. Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: Impossible) makes her Beekeeper debut, alongside Adam Copeland — yes, Edge from WWE — and Yara Shahidi. Returning from the original: Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave.

Let's talk numbers, because they matter. The first Beekeeper pulled $162 million worldwide on a $40 million budget, with a 71% critics score and a monster 92% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It's the rare modern action franchise built on practical beatdowns instead of CGI mush — and audiences showed up for it.

The DAOS take: this is fight-culture cinema at its best. Real choreography, real stakes, a lead who actually moves like he trains. Tjahjanto behind the lens means the sequel could out-hit the original. January can't come fast enough.

The Beekeeper 2 hits theaters January 15, 2027 via Amazon MGM Studios. Watch the trailer and tell us — is this Statham's best franchise?
