UFC Welcomes Undefeated Bantamweight Melissa Dixon to Its Roster

Melissa Dixon, an undefeated bantamweight fighter, has made her entrance into the UFC, becoming the latest female addition to the roster.

Dixon (5-0 MMA, 0-0) showcased her remarkable skills during her time with ARES FC, leaving a lasting impression. Her manager, Maurice Blanco of First Round Management, revealed to MMA Junkie on Thursday that Dixon has recently signed with the UFC.

At 31 years old, Dixon originates from Lions Gym in Coventry, England. With a professional record of five fights, she has secured three TKO victories and two wins by decision. Her most recent notable performance took place at ARES FC 9 in November, where she triumphed over the previously undefeated Darya Zheleznyakova (7-1) in the first round with a ground-and-pound stoppage.

Dixon's arrival is a much-needed boost to the bantamweight division, which has been lacking in terms of competitor numbers. As the division eagerly anticipates Amanda Nunes defending her 135-pound title against Irene Aldana in the main event of Saturday's UFC 289 fight card, Dixon's addition brings excitement for the future.

While no debut bout has been scheduled for Dixon just yet, it is anticipated that she will make her highly anticipated UFC debut within the next few months. The exact timing of her first walk to the Octagon remains to be determined, but fans and observers alike eagerly await her entry into the prestigious organization.
