Amazon Prime in Talks with Al Haymon's PBC: Deontay Wilder, Canelo Alvarez, and Terence Crawford in the Mix for Groundbreaking Deal

Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) is reportedly engaged in discussions for a potentially groundbreaking streaming deal with Amazon Prime.

Reports indicate that PBC's current broadcaster, Showtime, is exiting the boxing business by the end of this year and will not renew its contract. While Showtime may still broadcast occasional major pay-per-view fights, they are discontinuing regular boxing events.

Sports Illustrated reporter Chris Mannix has revealed that PBC has been in talks with Amazon regarding a potential streaming partnership. Mannix shared on his podcast, "I do know that PBC has talked to Amazon. I believe that's their preferred destination. They'd prefer to do a deal with Amazon. Amazon has ventured into sports more than other streaming services over the last couple of years."

Mannix continued, "I know there have been discussions between PBC and Amazon. I don't know what Amazon is looking to do - whether they're looking to become a Showtime-like boxing provider or offer one-off shows. I don't have the answer to that question. But there has been dialogue between PBC officials and Amazon."

Al Haymon's PBC stable boasts several prominent names in the boxing world, including Gervonta Davis, Canelo Alvarez, Deontay Wilder, and now Terence Crawford, who has joined the company. This potential streaming partnership with Amazon could have significant implications for the future of boxing broadcasts.
