Conor McGregor Expresses Frustration Over UFC Inactivity and Unveils Grand Plan

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is growing increasingly frustrated with his prolonged absence from the octagon and is eager to make a triumphant return. Despite having a grand plan in mind, McGregor expresses frustration at the perceived lack of enthusiasm from the UFC.

In an Instagram story on Tuesday, McGregor outlined his desire for a bout against Nate Diaz on Mexican Independence Day in the Sphere. He also previously announced his intention to face Michael Chandler in a middleweight fight during International Fight Week in June.

“I wish for (the Nate Diaz fight) on Mexican Independence Day in the Sphere,” McGregor wrote. “Chandler, June. Diaz, September. I have let this be known.”

However, McGregor's frustration is palpable as he laments the lack of progress in securing these fights. In a recent Instagram post, he wrote, “Still holding hope for June 29th. Lack of action on it, however, is now causing a lack of enthusiasm. I need a decision soon. I am the most tested athlete under this new regime. Yet no date to fight. The game is a bit lackluster also at present, which isn’t helping. I hope these next few cards pop, and I get a date. Eliminate distractions and begin real work towards it.”

The Irish fighter has been out of action since July 2021 when he suffered a leg injury in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. McGregor, known for his charisma inside and outside the octagon, expresses concern about the current state of the sport and his lack of motivation.

As McGregor awaits a potential return to the UFC, he reflects on his venture into acting.

Set to play 'Knox' in the 'Road House' remake alongside Hollywood's Jake Gyllenhaal, McGregor acknowledges the challenges of his foray into the film industry. He shares his uncertainty about continuing his acting career, writing on his Instagram story,

"It's hard work. Harder than expected. Not sure if I will go again. Will see how I feel after release. Wish to compete first."

As McGregor balances his aspirations in both sports and entertainment, fans eagerly await updates on his return to the UFC and his future endeavors in acting.
