DAOS Pulls Up: Inside the Exclusive Early Screening of DC's Clayface in NYC

New York got the first look — and DAOS was in the building. On Wednesday night (October 21), DJ Suss One held an early screening at The Cinemas on Fulton Street in Manhattan for Movie Night Live with DJ Suss One, of DC Studios' Clayface — two full days before the film opens in theaters everywhere on October 23.

Doors opened at 6, a cocktail hour while DJ Suss One set the tone, and a room full of New York culture — media, music, and film people — before the lights went down at 7:15. That's the Movie Night Live formula, run by The Feature Presentation (TFP): part premiere, part party, all culture. The screen said it plain before the film even started: "Look fear in the face."

A Different Kind of DC Movie

No spoilers here — the film is under wraps until Friday, and we're not the ones to ruin it. But understand what Clayface is: one of Batman's most tragic villains, a shapeshifter whose own body became the monster. DC Studios didn't make a standard superhero movie out of that. This is the darkest corner of the new DC universe — a horror-leaning story about identity, fame, and what happens when the face you show the world stops being yours. Comic book fans have been asking for this character on the big screen for decades. On October 23, everybody finds out why.

Clayface is only in theaters October 23. Salute to DJ Suss One (@djsussone), publicist Amber Le (@madeinvietnam__) of The Beast PR, and The Feature Presentation (@thefeaturepresentation) for a night that treated a movie like a moment.
