It appears that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool will have some familiar company in his third outing. The highly anticipated film, directed by Shawn Levy, has started to build its cast with some exciting additions.
The biggest announcement came last September, with the news that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine would be making an appearance in the film, which thrilled fans. There have also been rumors that Owen Wilson's Mobius and Tara Strong's Miss Minutes from Loki could be involved in some way.
Most recently, Matthew Macfadyen from Succession joined the cast, but as is typical for Marvel productions, no details were given regarding his character. Fans will have to wait to find out who he will be playing in this upcoming MCU action-comedy.
Deadpool 3 Hires a Taxi Driver
A new report from Deadline revealed that a new actor is now confirmed to return for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3.
Karan Soni, who played Dopinder in the previous Deadpool films, will be coming back for another round.
He’ll be joining Leslie Uggams’ Blind Al, who was already all-but-confirmed to be a part of the project last year.
Actor Karan Soni had previously mentioned that he had signed up for four movies before Disney's acquisition of Fox. However, he has not heard anything from Disney yet, although he remains hopeful to return for the third Deadpool movie.
It is not surprising to see Dopinder joining in the fun for the third installment, as Ryan Reynolds tends to invite all of his friends to the mayhem. The real question is whether Dopinder will interact with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine or the rumored Multiverse storyline.
If Dopinder does enter into time travel and world-hopping, there are two possible outcomes. He could serve as a fun and jokey sidekick to the titular character's new dynamic duo, or his entire timeline could fall victim to an Incursion, which would be pretty bleak.
Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters worldwide on November 8, 2024.
