Former UFC Fighter Karl Roberson Charged with Theft for Allegedly Stealing $200K in Jewelry from Home

Former UFC fighter Karl Roberson is facing multiple charges after he, along with another man, allegedly burglarized a New Jersey home of $200,000 worth of jewelry and other valuables, according to police.

The Howell Township Police Department announced that Roberson and Dathan Thompson, both 32, had been arrested and identified as the alleged burglars. Roberson was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Neptune, where he was driving a vehicle that police suspected was connected to the burglary.

“A search of the vehicle revealed a defaced 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, several packages of suspected ‘crack cocaine,’ marijuana, and items related to the burglary,” police said.

Police reported that Karl Roberson and Dathan Thompson allegedly pried open the rear door of a New Jersey residence and made their way to the master bedroom, where they took $200,000 worth of valuables. Surveillance cameras inside and outside the home captured the masked suspects.

If found guilty of the felony charges, Roberson could face a maximum of 10 years in jail.
