Jake Paul demands KSI's controversial victory over Joe Fournier to be overturned

Jake Paul isn't convinced by KSI's win.

After KSI's contentious second-round knockout victory over Joe Fournier in the headline fight of Misfits Boxing 7 on Saturday, Paul expressed his skepticism on social media, demanding that the result be nullified.

.

“I respect boxing too much to respect what that was,” Paul wrote. “If that was indeed a real boxing match it will be ruled a no contest or disqualification.”

Well, Paul isn’t wrong.

The final sequence of the bout stirred up differing opinions, as KSI initially stunned Fournier with a powerful overhand right and then concluded the fight with a strike that initially appeared to be a short right hand. However, upon further examination through replay review, it was revealed to be an illegal blow, potentially delivered with either a forearm or an elbow.

Although the obvious rule violation occurred, the broadcast of Misfits Boxing 7 swiftly moved past any controversy. KSI wasted no time in challenging Tommy Fury for his next fight, and the tension escalated quickly during their in-ring faceoff, nearly erupting into a brawl.

Paul's viewpoint was not isolated. Numerous professional fighters who watched the event from home shared their assessment of the main event of Misfits Boxing 7.
