50 Cent expressed his surprise at the underwhelming turnout of fans for the latest exhibition bout of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The event, which took place over the weekend at London’s O2 Arena, saw Mayweather Jr face off against former reality TV star Aaron Chalmers.
Despite the venue’s capacity of 20,000, there were thousands of empty seats, and Mayweather Jr won every round, though neither fighter was awarded the victory as it was only an exhibition. In a now-deleted Instagram post, 50 Cent shared a picture of the empty seats and wrote, “Damn champ who f*** this up like this.”
The rapper and Mayweather Jr have a history of animosity, dating back to 2012 when 50 Cent claimed that Mayweather Jr owed him money, and a feud ensued.
During their feud, the rapper alleged Mayweather Jr could not read and he issued a public challenge to the boxer. “This is a special challenge for you Floyd,” 50 Cent said in a video posted to Instagram.
