Tom Aspinall and Marcin Tybura to headline UFC's London return on July 22

Tom Aspinall will finally make his return to the octagon at the next UFC London event on July 22.

He is set to headline the card against Marcin Tybura. Dana White, the UFC president, announced the matchup on Wednesday.

Aspinall suffered a devastating torn ACL just 15 seconds into his main event bout against Curtis Blaydes at a previous UFC London card in July 2022.

Now, almost a year later, he has the opportunity to resume his pursuit of the heavyweight title in another five-round main event. Aspinall holds a 5-1 record in the UFC, including submission wins over Alexander Volkov and Andrei Arlovski, and a knockout against Sergey Spivak in 2021.

Meanwhile, Tybura, the 37-year-old Polish heavyweight, is on a two-fight winning streak, defeating Blagoy Ivanov and Alexandr Romanov. He has won seven of his last eight fights, with his only loss being against Volkov by unanimous decision at UFC 267.

Aspinall vs. Tybura will be the headline fight of the UFC London event, with more bouts expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
