Exclusive Look: Disney+ Daredevil Set Photos Unveil Captivating Flashback Scene

We’ve got some exciting MCU news! The recently surfaced on-set photos of the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again have provided a tantalizing hint for fans eagerly anticipating the series' release on Disney+ 🤩

These photos suggest that the show will feature a flashback scene, which promises to add a new layer of depth to the storytelling. As filming continues in New York, fans have been treated to various glimpses of the production, including the cast of the reboot.

Disney+ Set Photos Reveal Daredevil Flashback

New photos from Daredevil: Born Again's New York set revealed that the Disney+ series will include a flashback scene as evidenced by a newspaper prop dated 1999.

Photos showcasing the 1999 newspaper can be seen below:

Upon closer examination of the deli photos, it seems likely that they are set in the 1970s or early 1980s, which strongly suggests that the pictures depict two distinct flashback sequences. The older of the two sets could be part of Kingpin's backstory, while the newspaper may relate to Matt Murdock's past. Notably, some fans have hypothesized that Michael Gandolfini may be cast as a younger version of Wilson Fisk, a character who is a key antagonist in the Daredevil series.

This wouldn't be the first time a Daredevil show employed flashbacks.

The Netflix Daredevil series actually opened with how young Matt Murdock lost his sight.

The series also utilized the same storytelling device for Kingpin.

Through the flashback scenes, viewers were able to witness the character's traumatic and abusive past, which played a pivotal role in shaping him into the formidable antagonist that Daredevil confronts.

Will Daredevil Flashbacks Connect to Greater MCU?

Recent evidence points towards Daredevil: Born Again being a soft reboot of the original Netflix series. This raises intriguing questions about how Disney+ will handle flashbacks in comparison to the original show.

Will Born Again introduce fresh perspectives on the childhoods of these two characters, or will it provide added depth and context to their existing histories? The answers to these questions are sure to be of great interest to fans of the franchise.

It's exciting to witness Marvel Studios utilize the 18 record-breaking episodes of the show to further explore the characters of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio.

However, with Daredevil: Born Again now incorporated into the MCU, fans are left wondering if the Disney+ series will reference past events through these flashbacks. Previous glimpses of the MCU in both the '70s and '90s have been seen by audiences, and with Loki Season 2 set to visit the 1970s later this year, the possibilities are endless.

Daredevil: Born Again is expected to debut on Disney+ in Spring 2024.
