(MCU EXCLUSIVE) Set Photos Reveal WWE Superstar Seth Rollins as a Marvel Villain

Exciting news from the Marvel Cinematic Universe confirms the highly anticipated debut of WWE Raw Superstar Seth Rollins in Captain America 4, as he takes on the role of one of the film's villains.

Titled Captain America: New World Order, the upcoming installment is poised to introduce a lineup of notable antagonists. Tim Blake Nelson is set to reprise his role as Samuel Sterns, also known as the Leader, a character he initially portrayed in 2008's The Incredible Hulk.

Joining the cast is legendary actor Harrison Ford, making his Marvel debut as Thunderbolt Ross, taking over the role previously held by the late William Hurt. Given Ross' history of antagonistic appearances, it's reasonable to expect his character to assume a villainous role in the film. Additionally, Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns as Val, further adding to the ensemble of adversaries in the movie.

The character Seth Rollins will portray in Captain America 4 remains undisclosed, sparking speculation that he could be one of the members of the Serpent Society, although this has not been confirmed.

Rollins now joins Dave Bautista (Drax) as one of the few WWE Superstars to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date.

Interestingly, an earlier rumor suggested the involvement of the Serpent Society in the storyline of Captain America 4. According to the report, Val is said to collaborate with the group in their quest to acquire a unique metal that differs from Vibranium.

Within Marvel Comics, the Serpent Society comprises notable individuals such as Viper, Princess Python, Diamondback, King Cobra, Bushmaster, Constrictor, and Anaconda. This organization consists of villainous members whose personas draw inspiration from snakes.

Who is Seth Rollins' MCU Character? (Theory)

If Seth Rollins does indeed take on a role within the Serpent Society, there are numerous intriguing possibilities for the WWE Raw star.

One potential character for Rollins could be King Cobra, a prominent leader within the Serpent Society in the comics. This snake-themed villain gained his powers through exposure to a radioactive cobra, granting him remarkable elasticity as his unique ability. Rollins' charisma and star power make him a fitting candidate to portray the leader of the Serpent Society. Should the character survive, it would present exciting opportunities for future appearances in the MCU.

Another potential option for Rollins' MCU character is Frank Payne, also known as Constrictor. While lacking superhuman abilities, Constrictor possesses extensive training in conventional military tactics and espionage. This would allow Rollins to showcase his exceptional skills and athleticism on screen.

Moreover, Constrictor's story arc in Marvel Comics adds an intriguing layer. Initially, he betrayed the Serpent Society by alerting the Avengers, leading to a severe beating by Anaconda that left him on the brink of death.

As filming progresses, fans eagerly await an official announcement regarding Seth Rollins' role in the MCU.

Captain America: New World Order is set to premiere in theaters on May 3, 2024.
