Tom Hardy's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills continue to amaze as he showcases his talents once again.
The Peaky Blinders actor surprised the world with his impressive submission skills when he made unexpected appearances at several BJJ tournaments last year.
The actor picked up several gold medals in 2022
Tom Hardy's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills continue to impress as he quietly entered and won another competition last weekend, adding to his collection of gold medals from previous tournaments.
Former UFC fighter and 3rd degree BJJ Black belt, Tom DeBlass, took to social media to praise the English actor for his dedication to training and competing despite not needing to prove anything. DeBlass also highlighted Hardy's humility and willingness to roll with anyone, despite some potentially underestimating him.
In addition to congratulating his opponent, DeBlass also noted the perfection of Hardy's double-leg takedown in the final seconds of the match. Despite his success, Hardy remains humble and focused on his passion for the sport.
“The Jiu-Jitsu world is proud of you, my man.
“See you in a couple of months, brother. Can’t wait.”
Hardy replied to the post but only to praise his opponent and shout out the Reorg charity he has previously helped raise money for.
He commented: “That man Mihail Secara is very strong with a huge and kind heart much respect to him I got humbled a lot today. Won and lost. I also had an amazing time too with my team Reorg Charity.”
The 45-year-old first took up BJJ while preparing to play an MMA fighter in the 2011 film ‘Warrior’. Hardy has continued training in various martial arts since then and has even earned his Blue belt in the grappling sport that has become extremely popular in Hollywood. Ashton Kutcher, Jason Statham, Russell Brand, and Guy Ritchie are just some of the big names that are actually ranked higher than Hardy in BJJ but none of them are competing publicly like the ‘Venom’ actor.
So, keep your eyes peeled as Hardy may appear at your local BJJ event in 2023.
